Switch port mapping, which until now existed everywhere except the screen. Give LANWRX a read-only SNMP credential and it reads a managed switch's own forwarding table, then tells you which port each device is on. A hardware address the scan did not see is still listed rather than hidden � a device that is plugged in and silent is the row worth finding. A port carrying many addresses is labelled an uplink or trunk instead of being named as the answer. Anything the switch refused to return is printed, so a short report is never mistaken for a clean one.
Teach LANWRX what a device is and it can remember the rule: correct a manufacturer or category, and it offers to apply the same to every device sharing that MAC prefix or name pattern, telling you how many it would catch first. Your correction on one device always outranks a rule.
Renamed to LANWRX. Confidence now shown in the scan table. IP addresses link to a device's web interface. Double-click a map node or a scan row to open the device. Set your own manufacturer and category on a device and it survives later scans.
Report a bug from inside ScanWRX, with your version and Windows version attached automatically and nothing from your scans. Customer records now hold address, type, IT provider and contacts.

Licensing, activation and updates.
ScanWRX Pro can now be activated. The application shows a code, you type it at
scanwrx.myrrapp.net/activate, and Pro switches on without a restart. Every
connection is outbound: ScanWRX opens no port to sign you in, which is why it
is a typed code rather than a browser callback.
Added an update check. It sends this version number and nothing else, only
offers an update whose manifest is cryptographically signed, and verifies the
download against that signature before it will run it. It can be switched off,
and with it off the free tier makes no outbound connection at all.
Fixed two installer defects found by testing the installer rather than trusting
that it built: it installed machine-wide and asked for administrator, and it
created no Start menu shortcut. It now installs per-user with no elevation, and
appears under CompanyWRX.
Still not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen will warn on first run. Verify
the SHA-256 published on the download page.
First public build.
Seven discovery methods running at once: the neighbour table, ICMP, TCP
connect, mDNS, SSDP, WS-Discovery and NetBIOS. Around eight seconds for a
class C network of 80 devices, over Wi-Fi.
Device identification that shows the evidence behind every conclusion, and
says unknown rather than guessing. Change detection that tracks a device by
its MAC address, so a new DHCP lease is one change and not two.
Runs without administrator rights and opens no inbound port. Both measured
